CFOW, based in southern Westchester County, New York, is a peace action group. We came together after 9/11/01 to discuss the attack on the World Trade Center and what our response should be. We agreed that revenge through military action was counterproductive and we opposed the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. For over 6 years, we have reached out to a our community: holding forums, showing films, staging benefits and having a weekly vigil at a major intersection in Dobbs Ferry. We have grown into a network of people who are committed to peace, and social and environmental justice.

We are presently working with other groups locally and nationally to end the war in Iraq, to prevent war with Iran, to resist the Bush administration's assault on civil liberties, and to build an ecologically-sustainable world. There are many ways to work for peace and a better world and we welcome the participation of all who share our goals.
